The corona pandemic poses particular challenges for our health care system and for our entire society. As a provider of medical health services, Thieme feels particularly committed to its social responsibility in this situation. We want to make our contribution to contain the spread of the virus and thus maintain the working ability of the health care system. At the same time, it is indispensable that operations at Thieme continue to run to the greatest possible extent.
We have developed a comprehensive package of measures. This includes that we have decided in detail in the last few days which tasks our employees can carry out from home and which have to be carried out at least temporarily or temporarily on site at our various locations. In view of the current situation, we have succeeded in allowing a large proportion of our employees to work from home with immediate effect. They are technically equipped in such a way that not only e-mail communication but also telephone calls via the familiar extension numbers and telephone or video conferences are possible. This is still new and rather unusual for many of our employees at the moment, but as the first few days have already shown, it can be implemented very well. At the same time, some of our employees are still on site, either temporarily or permanently, to receive mail or goods if necessary.
So nothing will change for you! Even if personal contacts are temporarily reduced, we can and want to remain in close contact with you. Digitalization offers us many good opportunities for this.
