Digital Licensing

The diagnoses contained in NANDA International Nursing Diagnoses: Definitions and Classification, 2021-2023, Twelfth Edition, are to nursing what ICD is to physicians and DSM is to mental health professionals. EHR programs populated with NANDA-I support healthcare organizations by gathering data and by allowing nurses to attain excellence in assessment and, through that excellence, to prevent money-costing incidents.

Digital licenses to the NANDA-I diagnostic system encourage conversation and progress in nursing by implementing standardized terminology. Along with use of the full set diagnoses, digital licenses include the terms in .xml, .txt, or relational database format. Dear customer,

The corona pandemic poses particular challenges for our health care system and for our entire society. As a provider of medical health services, Thieme feels particularly committed to its social responsibility in this situation. We want to make our contribution to contain the spread of the virus and thus maintain the working ability of the health care system. At the same time, it is indispensable that operations at Thieme continue to run to the greatest possible extent.

We have developed a comprehensive package of measures. This includes that we have decided in detail in the last few days which tasks our employees can carry out from home and which have to be carried out at least temporarily or temporarily on site at our various locations. In view of the current situation, we have succeeded in allowing a large proportion of our employees to work from home with immediate effect. They are technically equipped in such a way that not only e-mail communication but also telephone calls via the familiar extension numbers and telephone or video conferences are possible. This is still new and rather unusual for many of our employees at the moment, but as the first few days have already shown, it can be implemented very well. At the same time, some of our employees are still on site, either temporarily or permanently, to receive mail or goods if necessary.

So nothing will change for you! Even if personal contacts are temporarily reduced, we can and want to remain in close contact with you. Digitalization offers us many good opportunities for this. We cordially invite you to get in touch with us - by e-mail, telephone or in writing, until we can hopefully meet again in person in a few months' time.

Thank you!

Thieme is Offering Free Access to Specialist Information on the Coronavirus

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the new coronavirus outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on January 30, 2020. Therefore, the Thieme Group has started to provide free access to specialist information on the coronavirus and other respiratory viruses at www.thieme.com/coronavirus. As an international provider of medical information and services Thieme aims to support physicians worldwide in the fight against the virus.

Physicians around the world are faced with the challenge of quickly detecting illness, taking hygiene and isolation measures and providing the best possible care for those affected. "The WHO has declared the epidemic to be a global health emergency," says Daniel Schiff, Senior Vice President and Managing Director Thieme China. "As a provider of specialist medical information, we would like to make our contribution to ensuring that doctors and medical staff can obtain information quickly. That is why we are now unlocking relevant articles on the coronavirus, published in Thieme journals," Dr. Schiff continues.

Articles from specialist journals are bundled together and can be accessed below.

Area9 Lyceum has released an adaptive learning module on COVID-19. The module addresses the origin of COVID-19, on how it is transmitted, symptoms and differences in severity, complications, diagnosis, and prevention, and is now available at no cost.

Recently, there have been many reports of investigations into the repurposing of currently available drugs as potentially effective treatments for the novel coronavirus disease COVID-19, with numerous clinical trials taking place.

To support these efforts, we have collected all approved API entries from Pharmaceutical Substances that have been considered in this context, and we would like to share these with you as freely available PDFs.
