Biography
Dr. Weissman attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for undergraduate college, medical school, and his nuclear medicine fellowship. He attended the Henry Ford Hospital for his diagnostic radiology residency. Dr. Weissman has always preferred quiz books over conventional text books for actual examination preparation and is delighted to take part in creating board preparatory examination material. He has a longstanding special interest in test preparation. During residency training, he pioneered various educational programs including “SOW” (syndrome of the week) and was considered the residency mnemonic guru. In practice, he has earned numerous awards for education, and he is a frequent local “Top Doctors” winner.
Recently, Dr. Weissman decided to study with his teenage son for the SAT and ACT exams, and he dissected more than a dozen prep books prior to re-taking both tests. (Yes, he actually spent several Saturdays at local high schools, taking college entrance examinations.) With his radiology boards case review collection, Dr. Weissman hopes that coupling the conventional Q and A format with reader-friendly “top tips” will permit quick and lasting mastery of the material.
