
Biography
Benjamin S. Bleier, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bleier is the Director of Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, a Co-Director of the Center for Thyroid Eye Disease and Orbital Surgery, and a member of the Sinus Center at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Bleier has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and a textbook in the field of sinus-related disease. He lectures both nationally and internationally on his research interests, which include the role of P-glycoprotein as an etiologic agent and therapeutic target in CRS, intranasal drug delivery techniques to the brain, and endoscopic management of orbit and skull base tumors.
Dr. Bleier holds 5 patents covering novel surgical and medical therapies for sinonasal disease and has been recognized by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Boston Magazine, Harvard Medicine Magazine, and Scientist Magazine for his work using mucosal grafts to deliver drugs to brain.
