
Biography
Born 1968 in Germany, Prof. Dr. med. Frank Kandziora graduated from and was promoted to “Dr. med.” by the J. W. Goethe-University in Frankfurt. After starting his training at the Orthopedic University Hospital in Frankfurt, he moved to the Charite University Hospital in Berlin to train first as a general surgeon specializing in trauma surgery. When he finished his orthopedic training and his PhD thesis, he became associated Professor (“Priv.-Doz.”) at the Humboldt-University and Head of the Charite Spine Group at the Center of Musculoskeletal Surgery, Campus Virchow Clinic (CVK).
In 2008, he took over the chairman position at the multidisciplinary Center for Spinal Surgery and Neurotraumatology at the BGU Hospital in Frankfurt. Currently, he is teaching at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt. He has published more than 100 original articles, has received multiple scientific awards, and is a board member of several national and international scientific organizations and foundations.
