Biography
Jonathan Citow, M.D., is the principal neurosurgeon at American Center for Spine & Neurosurgery, the Chief of Neurosurgery at Advocate Condell Medical Center, and the Associate Clinical Professor at Rosalind Franklin University (formerly Chicago Medical School). He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with honors and received his training in Neurosurgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
After achieving the second highest score in the United States on the Neurological Surgery Board Examination, he authored the texts Comprehensive Neurosurgical Board Review, Essential Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology, Neuroradiology and Neuropathology: Text and Atlas, Neurosurgery Oral Board Review, and Neurosurgical Board Review Questions and Answers for Self-Assessment. Dr. Citow invented the Citow Cervical Visualizer, a spinal device now used world-wide. He has also published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
