
Biography
Cargill H. Alleyne, Jr., M.D., is Professor, Marshall Allen Distinguished Chairman, and Residency Program Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Georgia, Georgia Regents University. He completed his medical training at Yale University School of Medicine, his residency at Emory University, and a fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He also trained in endovascular techniques. He is one of Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” and America’s “Best Doctors.”
His professional affiliations include the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Neurosurgical Society of America, and Society of Neurological Surgeons. In addition, he has served as President of the Georgia Neurosurgical Society and Chairman of the Neurology/Neurosurgery section of the National Medical Association.
