Biography

Roman Skoracki, MD, is a Professor of Plastic Surgery and the Division Chief of Reconstructive Oncological Plastic Surgery at Ohio State University. He trained in Canada at the University of Calgary and University of Manitoba, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons. He also completed a fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Since completing his training in 2002, he has been performing reconstructive microsurgery of the breast and the head and neck, as well as lymphedema surgery. His clinical research interests have consistently focused on improving patient outcomes, physically and psychologically. Dr. Skoracki has lectured nationally and internationally on a broad range of topics related to reconstructive surgery and has authored numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters. He is the co-author of a breast textbook as well as a head and neck textbook.
