
Biography
Dr. Izaddoost is an academic plastic surgeon at Baylor College of Medicine who has clinical interest in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring, and reconstruction of the chest wall after cardiovascular surgery complications. This clinical practice supports multiple approved clinical and basic science research protocols in breast reconstruction outcomes and treatment of infected cardiovascular devices. His research has led to multiple publications in journals such as Nature, Cell, and the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition, through his joint appointment in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Dr. Izaddoost participates in teaching first year medical students in Cell Biology and Histology. Furthermore, Dr. Izaddoost is the Program Director for the Baylor College of Medicine Plastic Surgery residency program, director of the Plastic Surgery Microsurgical Course, and Chief of the Plastic Surgery at Ben Taub General Hospital. Dr. Izaddoost is the medical director of Baylor Plastic Surgery, a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a member of the Texas Medical Association and Houston Society of Plastic Surgery.
