Biography

Dr. Thornton is currently a Professor of Plastic Surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Thornton’s entire practice is dedicated to post-Mohs facial reconstruction.

Dr. Thornton graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1989 and completed a surgery internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas prior to three years of active duty as a navy flight surgeon. Dr. Thornton went back to Dallas to complete his General Surgery residency and then completed a Plastic Surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta before returning to Dallas.

Dr. Thornton is married to his anesthesiologist. They have six children.
