VCOT Open is an Open Access online-only international peer-reviewed journal. Its widened scope encompasses the entire discipline of veterinary surgery with a focus on surgical pathology, including cellular and molecular mechanisms of disease. It publishes review articles, retro- and prospective original clinical research as well as unique case reports. Translational and multidisciplinary topics are welcome and may include papers on non-experimental animal models for human disease, addressing and enhancing the concept of "One Health".
VCOT Open requires that authors follow the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals. More information can be found here: http://www.icmje.org
